From the Sea

I hope everyone is having a good start to January. Mine has been nothing short of diabolical. Work has been steady as always; I count my blessings there! I genuinely love my 'Unconventional Career' and I wouldn't do anything else. Okay, maybe that's a lie! I'd love to be the next Adele, but as I can't sing there's no hope there.

I got an opportunity last weekend I never thought I would have, so naturally I took it. I got to see one of my favourite singers live. Nothing so extraordinary about that, I hear you think, but this particular singer is not known over here. If I gave the name of the band to an English person they wouldn't have heard of them unless they had been to their country of origin. Mind you, having said that, one of my besties has been to this country for a year and hasn't heard of them, so maybe she spent the entire year under a rock, who knows! And there are plenty of rocks in this country, that's another clue.

I realise this blog post could very well out me if anyone I know from the civilian world reads it, but I guess that's the risk I take every month. It's so difficult to think up something completely neutral to write about that's not about to give me away.
